How to burn more calories and have your desired body

By: Kevin Prott

How many times have you heard the promise of a quick and easy path to weight loss? Chances are, if you bought into it, you were soon disappointed. The sad truth is that losing weight is neither fast nor easy. You can follow the details of your diet down to every small detail - and still find that the weight is lose to come off. Is it your fault? Not necessarily. Part of it is probably just your body's natural actions and reactions. When the body feels it is being starved (as happens when you go on a diet), it reacts by slowing your metabolism in order to protect the fat supplies it has stored for the future.

However, there is hope. Armed with a little information and a lot of willpower, there are things you can do that will once again jumpstart your weight loss plan and start burning calories in an effective, efficient way. Here, then, is the best path to burning more calories at a quicker pace.

Start drinking green tea at least 3 times a day. Green tea is a great help to your metabolism and can help keep it high while you continue to burn more calories. Not only does green tea contain caffeine to keep you going but it also has certain plant chemicals that can aid your metabolism.

Never let your body catch on to your exercise schedule. You need to constantly switch things up. Do different types of exercises in different amounts each day. Otherwise, your body will learn the schedule and start resisting your efforts to rob it of its fat stores. The body by nature tries to preserve these storehouses, and will learn how to do so by lowering metabolism. The way you keep it from doing this is by constantly changing your routine.

There are easy ways to work out for the same amount of time but burn more calories; whenever you do a specific exercise, crank up the notch for 5 minutes in each program. This way you know how to burn more calories without having to work out for longer.

This may sound silly to most people, but it really does work! Get fidgeting! The more you fidget the more calories you burn. Tap your fingers, click your fingers, tap your legs; whatever you decide to do its a great and easy way to lose some extra weight.

Focus on what you eat rather than how much you eat. By this we mean don't stop eating. Instead, make sure your meals are comprised of healthy foods. And be sure to eat a healthy variety. If you skip meals, your body will react by slowing your metabolism, which will actually cause you to lose less weight.

Remember to drink plenty of fluids and water throughout the day. Experts recommend that you intake at least 5 bottles of water per day. If you increase this amount by just one bottle, your metabolism goes much faster. Then this makes you lose weight and burn calories quicker.

Get out and enjoy the sun! Some people get caught in the rut of staying in the gym. Instead, spend some time walking or running outside in the fresh air. Research shows that people stick with their exercise program longer when a significant portion of it is done outside.

So now, armed with these suggestions for how to burn more calories at a faster pace, it's up to you what you do with this information. If you'll put it to use, in no time at all, you'll be the more fit person that you desire to be.
